InstaTime Navigator ("the Extension," "we," "us") is a Chrome extension that lets you search your own Instagram post and reel history by date, caption, hashtag, and media type. This page explains exactly what data the Extension and its companion website collect, where that data is stored, and why. We wrote it to match what the code actually does — not marketing language.
1. The short version
- Your indexed Instagram posts and profile data are stored only on your device, in your browser's local IndexedDB. We never receive, see, or store them on any server.
- If you use the free tier, the Extension never sends any data anywhere.
- If you upgrade to PRO, we store your email address and subscription status on our server so we can verify your login — nothing else about your Instagram activity.
- We never sell your data, run ads, or use tracking/analytics scripts.
- We never see your Instagram password — the Extension only reads content already visible on pages you open, it does not log in on your behalf.
2. Data stored only on your device
When you use the Extension on your own Instagram profile, a content script reads information that is already visible on the page — the same information you can see by scrolling — and saves it to your browser's local IndexedDB database. This data never leaves your device:

This data is readable only by you, on your own device. Uninstalling the Extension or clearing your browser's site data for the extension permanently deletes it. Nothing is backed up to us — if you want a copy, use the built-in CSV/JSON export feature before uninstalling.
3. Data we receive on our server
We only receive data from you if you choose to log in to unlock PRO features. If you never log in, our servers never receive anything about you at all.

We do not receive your Instagram posts, captions, images, or any other content you've indexed locally — that data is never transmitted to us under any circumstance.
4. Payments
Payments are processed entirely by Razorpay or Gumroad, our payment providers. When you pay for PRO, your card details go directly to them — we never receive, see, or store your card number, expiry date, or CVV. After a successful payment, the payment provider notifies our server only that a payment succeeded (a transaction ID and the email you paid with), which we use solely to activate PRO access on your account.

We do not use any advertising, analytics, or tracking scripts on this website or in the Extension.
6. Chrome extension permissions
The Extension requests the minimum permissions needed to work:

7. Your rights & data deletion
- Local data: uninstall the Extension, or clear its site data from Chrome's settings, to delete everything stored on your device instantly.
- Account data: to delete your email, session, and subscription records from our server, email us at support@dreamcrafts.org from the address on your account and we will delete it within 30 days.
- Logging out from the Extension immediately revokes your active session on our server.
8. Children's privacy
The Extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Extension after a change means you accept the updated policy.
